Rasmussen Rolls To Another Top-5 -

Tacoma, Washington –

5-30-2009 – Tommy Rasmussen rolled on to yet another top-5 finish in his #92 KMB Design / Dan’s Automotive / Dad’s Garage / Mauritsen Enterprises / Haywire Racing Engines / Pontiac Grand Prix at Southsound Speedway in Tenino, Washington on May 30th during the 100 lap Super Stock Main Event.

With a huge crowd on hand for the double headline show featuring the Super Stock class and the North American Big Rigs, the packed house watched as Rasmussen drove to his second straight top-5 finish of the season. As the small team keeps gaining ground on the car and the track, Rasmussen keeps gaining ground on the elusive podium finish they continue searching for. At the current rate of progress, it is quickly coming into view.

This finish wasn’t a simple one for Rasmussen, for starters this race was twice the distance of previous races this season. The scheduled 100 laps always brings a challenge in just getting to the finish, a mark that would prove to be one of Rasmussen’s advantages. Also battling a couple other drivers, Rasmussen found himself with slight suspension damage that affected his handling for the remainder of the race. In his normal smooth style, Rasmussen rolled on; bringing the #92 KMB Design / Dan’s Automotive / Dad’s Garage / Mauritsen Enterprises / Haywire Racing Engines / Pontiac Grand Prix home in the top-5 for the second straight time this season.

Look for Tommy Rasmussen to continue this string of quality finishes and continue his climb up the points standings when he returns to Southsound Speedway for the next event with his #92 KMB Design / Dan’s Automotive / Dad’s Garage / Mauritsen Enterprises / Haywire Racing Engines / Pontiac Grand Prix.
