McDougald Set For 125

Tacoma, Washington –

06-22-2017 – “Terrible” Tim McDougald is set to return to action at Evergreen Speedway for the Central Welding 125 presented by KLM Construction this Saturday night in Monroe, Washington.

After sitting out the last race, McDougald will climb back behind the wheel of his #68 Race Car Help Toyota Camry for the 125 lap main event on the 3/8ths mile oval at Evergreen Speedway. “We sat out that last one for a couple reasons,” said McDougald. “First of all, we had some stuff coming for the car and I didn’t want to take it out there and wreck it and then our parts show up two days later. But more importantly, we were pretty short on help that week. Both my spotter and my brother Tommy’s spotter were busy. So I chose to park mine and spot for him so he could keep going.”

After a small break in his schedule, “Terrible” Tim is anxious to return to competition. “I think I’ve raced more this year than we’ve raced the last four years combined,” said McDougald. “We took a little breather there to reassess the car and make some changes to what we were doing. I gotta say a huge thank you to Jim at Race Car Help for his help on the setup. We’ve been kind of hit and miss this year. We had one really good outing at the Military Appreciation Night, so we’re looking to get back to that. Jim helped us settle on a direction and has worked with us to make sure we have what we need there. So I’m excited to get back to the track and see how the car is. It’s pretty different than anything we’ve ever done before, so it’ll be exciting setting it in for the first time.”

Be sure to catch all the action as “Terrible” Tim McDougald and the Speedway Chevrolet Super Late Models return to action Saturday night for the Central Welding 125 presented by KLM Construction at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.
