With the #92 Chevy Impala being in good shape after Tommy’s last outing, the work involved was quite minimal this time around. The #68 Toyota Camry has had plenty of time to get all fixed up and ready to run again. So the team enjoyed a less stressfull weekend as the work load was much smaller than normal.

Donny continued to make progress on the #29 Olds Cutlass as it gets it’s major overhaul. Things are moving along in the shop every week, the guys just keep plugging away at it.

Next weekend will be a bit relaxed as Donny continues on the #29 Olds Cutlass and the Late Models get a little time off with nothing to really do to them. We like that idea!

This event was a double-header so to speak, with twin 50 lap Main Events. After some issues in qualifying Tomym was placed on the grid 19th of 22 cars. During the first Main Event he managed to climb up to 14th after some contact mid race that left him with some damage to the front end.

After the team made repairs, Tommy joined the grid for the second Main Event. This one would be lined up by finishing order of the first Main Event, placing Tommy 14th at the start. This time the car was better and he was able to climb to an 8th place finish.

All in all, not a bad start to the season for Tommy and the #92 Chevy Impala.

So you probably noticed the site down for the last, oh I don’t know, week or so, right? Well, our web host had a little server issue on thier end and we ended up losing some files somewher along teh way. It took me some work but it looks like we are back in working order! About time, right?

Ok so let’s get to business! It’s race week after all! Tommy will be taking the #92 Chevy Impala to Evergreen Speedway for the Super Late Model season opener this Saturday. So go cheer him on! We’re looking forward to a great weekend and a great race.

Tommy is getting ready for his upcoming race date in the #92 Chevy Impala at the end of the month, so this weekend will be focused on making sure everything is ready to go. Mounting tires, any final scaling of the car, etc.

Donny will keep going with the work on the #29 Olds Cutlass. Still plenty to do there so that will be an ongoing thing. I will be out of town spending some time with my wife, something I plan to do a bit more this year.

So the last few weeks have seen a lot happening in the shop as well as at the track! Tommy has bene continuing with his build of a new #92 Chevy Impala. I’m still not sure where he is headed with it, backup or new main car. Time will tell. And Donny has been continuing his rebuild of the #29 Olds Cutlass. Still a lot of work to do, but it looks like a car again so we are back to smiling when we walk by it, which is a huge improvement.

We had a practice day a couple weekends back that saw both the #92 Chevy Impala and the #68 Toyota Camry head to the track. This would be the first time the #68 Toyota Camry and driver “Terrible” Tim McDougald had been on the 3/8ths at Evergreen Speedway. Needless to say, it didn’t go well.

Tommy and the #92 Chevy Impala were very good, showing solid speed and giving the team hope that they were not far off. The #68 and “Terrible” Tim were way off! That car struggled just to make a single lap. So we are back to square one with that program and left scratching our heads as to what happened there. A lot of work will need to be put into that car to see if we can get it where it will run again. I’m still not sure how we were that far off, but we were.

The next date of importance is now in the little countdown timer in the right sidebar. Tommy will be running the #92 Chevy Impala at Evergreen Speedway on the 28th of April, roughly 3 weeks from now! If you check out his Facebook page you will find information on a give-away Tommy is doing. The question is there, you’ll need to find the answer.
