Asphalt Circle Track Racing in the Pacific NorthWest
Mid-Weekend Update. . .
27 February 2010, Terrible Tim @ 10:45 pm

I know, I forgot to post a Weekend Preview. Sorry. :-(

Anyway, we spent the day working on the #68 Limited Late Model again. Still tons of work to do, so this thing is taking all the time we can find. We got the rear suspension completed today aside from some painting that needs to take place. The front suspension took a major setback as we found our spindle to be bent. The front suspension will be held up until we find some new spindles. Again, this is what we get for buying swap meet stuff. Some day we’ll learn.

We also took some time to fix the shift linkage on the #29 Street Stock. That is another small item we are glad to have finished.

Also, Tommy finally released his 2010 race schedule. Be sure to visit the SCHEDULE page to see the chosen events.

We will be back at it tomorrow as we focus on brakes and sway bar and what ever other little thing we can find to do to keep moving forward anywhere possible. Stay tuned for more news and updates. . .

This Is Only A Test. . .

Just downloaded a new WordPress app for my Blackberry. So I figured I’d see how it works. :-)

It will be nice to be able to blog from anywhere. A good app for this is long overdue for us Blackberry users. You iPhone peeps have it too good. ;-)

MidWeek Update. . .
24 February 2010, Terrible Tim @ 12:18 pm

Updated the blog to the newest version. So if you see any strange stuff, I’ll be blaming it on that. I also enjoy the way I generally have to go through and update a lot of my widgets to work with the new version and then go through most of my settings and fix them to look the way it did before the update. You’d think the update would also keep my settings from being all jacked up or reverting to the standard settings. :-/

Enough of my ramblings, on with the show! I’ll be going to pick up more parts for the #68 Toyota Camry today so that we can continue our build of the new car. We should also be getting a shipment of stuff in today as well so we should end up with more parts than we have time this weekend. At least, I hope that’s what happens! I’m very excited to get this build back under way!

Stay tuned for more news and updates. . .

Weekend Review. . .
21 February 2010, Terrible Tim @ 7:24 pm

Well, that was a long weekend. :-P

We spent a very long Saturday that saw us head to Seattle to get Donny’s new Street Stock and bring it down to the shop in Graham where it will be lettered by none other than Mom. Once we got back with the #29 car and got it unloaded and put away, the crew split again and half of us went to Tommy’s to try to get a little work done on the #92 Super Stock and the rest of us stayed at Dad’s to work on the #68 Limited.

Sunday found us back at Dad’s working on the #68 Limited again. Having completed the steering shaft and getting the rear end pretty close to done, we found our self at that point again where we’ve gone as far as we can with the parts we have. So once again, we are waiting on stuff to arrive again before we can do much more. Hopefully we get some of that stuff before next weekend.

Once we reached that point, Donny headed over to Tommy’s to finish up some stuff they had left from Saturday. I hope to get an update on how things are going there soon. When I saw the car Saturday morning they were hoping to finish up the rear suspension changes we made over the winter and progress still continues on general cleaning of the entire car, applying some fresh paint to some areas of the chassis and mounting the new body.

As you can see, lots getting done on several different projects spanning all 3 cars, all at the same time. This gives a whole new meaning to multi-tasking. Props to Dad for keeping track of all this and his great guidance and oversight to keep us all on the right track. The old man is truly irreplaceable.

Stay tuned for more news and updates. . .

Mid-Weekend Update. . .

Here we are, in the middle of a very busy weekend. But I wanted to take moment to share some stuff with you.

We finally rolled the new #29 Street Stock out of the shop and into the trailer to bring it to Dad’s so it can get some lettering work done on it.

Be sure to catch the debut of the new car and driver this racing season!
